To make an appointment, you can either telephone, call in at the surgery during opening hours or book online. You can express a preference to see a particular doctor but may have to wait longer if this doctor has a longer waiting list.
Emergency (Urgent) Appointments
For emergency appointments, ring the surgery at 8.00am for emergency only appointments.
Cancelling an appointment
Please let us know in advance if you are unable to attend your appointment as it can then be offered to another patient.
Appointments are valuable if you cannot attend a booked appointment please cancel either online or by contacting the surgery so we can offer the appointment to someone else. If you do not attend the surgery and continue to waste appointments you will be asked to leave the surgery.

Online Services
You can now book your appointment with the Doctor via our online service. You need to obtain a username and password from Reception to use this service. You can also cancel your appointments via the online service, if you no longer need to visit the GP.

Out of Hours Appointments
We now offer GP and nurse appointments late evening, Saturdays and Sundays at Broom Lane Surgery, Kilnhurst surgery, Dalton surgery and Kimberworth Park Surgery. If you would like to book an appointment please speak to our reception staff.
If you need help when we are closed
- Use NHS 111 online (111.nhs.uk) or call 111. 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
- Out of hours information
- If it’s a life-threatening emergency call 999.

Home Visits
To request a home visit contact the surgery before 10.30am.
Remember that we can see several patients at the practice in the time it takes for one home visit. Patients should have their appointment at the surgery if they can.
Lack of transport is not a reason to request a home visit.
